you don't look like x

solo exhibition 2022

In a nation dominated with immigrants of all backgrounds, the canyon of assimilation is a deep pit many find themselves trapped in within their search for identity.

The impermanence of all my homes is something I've reflected on often.

The uncertainty of where I would end up and from whom I would seek acceptance- it all clouded the elements of what would comprise my identity.

My solo show You Don't Look Like 'X' consisted of 2 installations and a free-standing sculpture which reflected on the reality of generating an identity that I may share with many.

On View November 14th-18th.
